We were pleased to continue our support for Eastbourne District General Hospital (EDGH) by contributing materials towards the ongoing development of the hospital’s courtyard improvement project.
The courtyard project was first introduced to us by Balfour Beatty Living Places. It’s been created to provide a welcoming and accessible outdoor space for patients, visitors and hospital staff. Such spaces can play an important role in enhancing wellbeing, offering a clam environment away from busy clinical areas and creating opportunities for rest, reflection and social interaction.
Our involvement with the project began previously when we made a contribution towards the initial development works. As the project has continued to progress, EDGH reached out to local businesses and supporters for further assistance to help bring the next phase of the courtyard improvements to completion. We were delighted to once again offer our support, this time through the donation of materials required for the ongoing works.
By providing these materials, we have been able to assist in the continued enhancement of a space that will benefit a wide range of people across the local community. The completed courtyard will provide an improved outdoor environment for patients undergoing treatment, family members visiting loved ones, and the dedicated healthcare professionals who work tirelessly at the hospital every day.
Supporting initiatives such as this reflects our commitment to delivering meaningful social value within the communities where we operate. We recognise the importance of investing in projects that leave a lasting positive legacy and contribute to the wellbeing of local residents. Working alongside community organisations and public services enables us to support improvements that may otherwise be difficult to achieve through traditional funding alone.
