After seeing Rachael from Balfour Beatty Living Places would be taking part in the Baton of Hope, it was a no-brainer that we would support her in such a great cause.
The Baton of Hope was created after two fathers met through social media under heartbreaking circumstances. Both had lost their sons to suicide, and they channelled that grief into a powerful movement for change in the UK.
So, what is the Baton?
It’s more than just a beautiful piece of metalwork; it’s a symbol of hope. Of walking away from darkness, with support and understanding, toward light and a better future.
Mission
The Baton of Hope stands for one clear belief: suicide is preventable, right up to the moment someone takes action. And preventing it isn’t the job of one person. It’s something we can all play a part in. Through awareness, education, open conversation, and partnership with communities and charities, they’re fighting to make suicide prevention a national priority.
We all know how deeply suicide can affect families, friends, and communities. It’s something that stays with you. That’s why it’s so important to raise awareness, offer support, and be part of the conversation, because no one should face that kind of pain alone.
