This year, Hi-Way Services had the privilege of participating in volunteering for Surviving Christmas for the first time, alongside Balfour Beatty Living Places. Surviving Christmas is a charity run by a dedicated group of volunteer trustees and has been operating for over 30 years.
We spent the day volunteering with their team, shopping for toys, wrapping presents for Santa, and preparing hampers. Their goal this year was to assemble 850 hampers, they had completed around 520 that week, so our task for the day was to help pack 250 hampers.
It was a rewarding and enjoyable experience, and we had the opportunity to learn more about the vital work they do. It was wonderful to be part of such a supportive and hardworking team.
